Timmy (or Timothy Charles Jr. LOL) is about 8 years old. Don’t be fooled by his looks! He is a total LOVER & just wants to be with his humans. His early life was not good to him & he has scars all over his face & body. BUT let’s be honest, his broken jaw has given him the cutest snaggletooth we have ever seen! He spent 2 years chained outside & then almost 4 more years in two separate boarding facilities until he came to his foster home in August 2017. He adapted to a loving home life very quickly & enjoys every second of it.

He has a foster fur sister, Luna (she weighs 15lbs), who he doesn’t pay much attention to BUT he will sniff her or steal bones back when she’s not looking. (She does the same to him too) He also has a senior foster fur sister, Molly (12lbs). He walks great with Luna & has no reaction when he sees other dogs (big or small) when out in the neighborhood. He can live with another dog (female preferred) but she MUST be smaller than he is and mellow and laid back. Of course, a meet is always required as he can be picky. He does not enjoy hyper, in your face dogs. They make him nervous and we think this is due to what happened to him at a young age. (the majority of his scars are on his face)
If he sees a squirrel, rabbit or cat he will want to chase it! Because of this, he can’t be in a home with cats. Timmy is friendly with people of all sizes but due to his strength & size (70lbs) it is recommended that he be in a household with no young children. He would be ok with children 13 years or older. Please don’t let that sway you! He has been around young kids & has NEVER had a negative reaction both at his foster home & at public events he has been to. He just doesn’t understand his own strength & thinks he is a 10lb lap dog!

Timmy is fully housebroken. He doesn’t bark when he has to go, but he will pace or linger by the door & that’s his way of saying “I have to go potty!”  Timmy loves to run around in the yard & he sniffs EVERYTHING! His adoptive home must have a fully fenced in yard so he can run & play to his heart’s desire. He LOVES basking in the sun! Timmy has never had any form of training until now & he has made HUGE progress. He has completed 4 weeks of board and train and he is continuing with socialization classes. He is trained on an E-collar. He is a very smart boy! He requires an experienced dog owner, routine and guidance from his humans.

When Timmy is tired, he wants nothing more than to snuggle up with his humans. He is a great snuggle partner & will for sure keep you warm in the winter time. He loves belly rubs & ear scratches. He also loves to give kisses. He goes into his crate with no issues at night or when you aren’t home as long as you give him a treat. When he’s been a really good boy he enjoys beef marrow bones or a frozen kong filled with peanut butter. He loves his treats! This lover of a guy deserves his furever home after all he has been through.
