Hello! My name is Chewy, but my foster family calls me Chewster. Don't let the name fool you - I am not a chewer! 

In fact, I am more of a snuggle bug! I love spending time cuddling up with my foster family so if you need a Netflix buddy, well I am your guy!

I used to be a stray so I am still learning how to play with toys and what these things called "treats" are. I really like soft, chewy treats and peanut butter.

I am learning some basic commands like "sit" and "stay." I do know that "go to bed" means it is time for a nap and I am being crate-trained. I also know "go potty" and will run to the door. I'm good about coming back inside once I've done my business.

I am also learning how to wait patiently for my food and I take treats gently. 

 I have congestive heart failure, but please do not let that scare you. I have many good years left in me! It just means I need to take some pills every day and I can't play too long or too rough. My medication makes me thirsty, so I will need to have plenty of water (and potty breaks).  

I get tired easily, but I still love going for walks and car rides, exploring the yard, watching the birds, and playing with other dogs. My foster family has 3 big dogs and we all get along very well. 

I am very interested in all the dogs I see walk by my yard but I do not growl or bark. I don't like to be left alone too long, so I would do well with a family with a more relaxed lifestyle. If I sound like a good match for you, let's meet! 

Adoption fee is $275 which includes spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, heart worm test and microchip! 

Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment.
