Raine was found hit on the road by animal care services here in San Antonio Texas. When they found him he had tire marks all over his body. He was broken pretty badly and no rescue wanted to step up and save him because, of the cost that would come along with getting him better. Well one amazing rescue did step up Diamonds in the Ruff. True to their name Raine was truly a diamond in the ruff. Myself and Susan, another foster, co-fostered him until he was no longer broken. Raine is now perfect with a small swagger when he walks. He will need to be on a joint and bone support for the rest of his life to help keep him healthy, but he is 100% worth it. This boy is so very special he is super smart and a fast learner. He is crate trained, knows how to use a doggy door, great on the leash and is a very good listener. He has a very sweet disposition to all the people he meets and he is always happy, constantly wagging his tail. He loves all of our dogs and is very interested in our cats. We feel he would make a great addition to any family. We don't know how he is with small kids but we can't imagine that he would not love them just as he loves everyone he meets. We think he will do well with cats, but some training would have to happen with any adopter who had cats. This boy is ready to love you and be loved by you. Oh I almost forgot the bonus, Raine squats to pee and does not lift his leg.
