Medici is a three year old black Chow Chow who was surrendered with his brother to a rural Kentucky shelter.  He and his brother were separated and at times it seems as if he might be looking for him.

He is new to the indoors but is getting used to it. He is a very strong personality so would not do well with an overly aggressive dog (male or female) and a meet and greet is always required. He is very good with people but would be better for children over 10. He’s a very relaxed dog and would even do great as an only dog, he doesn’t require high activity.  Fenced yard would be required as he has some hops. No cats.

We would love to find an experienced Chow home because of the specifics of the breed but would also be happy with someone who would research and understand the breed and provide continuous training. 

From a looks perspective he is gorgeous. Majestic as the King of the Beasts. Lets help him find his very own home. 

Medici has been neutered and is up to date on vaccines and it microchipped. 

He can be adopted in Kentucky or New York.
