Hi, I'm Roja! I was left at a local shelter after my previous owners wanted to travel. They came back home but never came back for me. I had lots of human friends at the shelter but I kept getting overlooked. Unfortunately, my time was up. But Diamonds stepped in and broke me out, and not a moment too soon!  

Roja is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet!!! Don't let his age fool you. He has plenty of energy to keep up with an active family!  

He is all about his people and will show you unconditional love. He is friendly with children, but due to his strength and size, he needs a home with no small children. 13 and up would be fine. He just doesn't understand how big he is. He does play a bit rough with his doggie pals and his energy level may intimidate some dogs so a meet and greet is necessary. Roja is a chewer and will swallow anything so no stuffies or flimsy, small toys. His favorite toys are the Zogoflex Tux and Qwizl. He also likes playing tug. He is very curious and may mistake something for a toy - so put your shoes away! LOL

Roja is not a fan of crates, but will do well alone in a quiet, closed-off room overnight or during the day. He loves going for walks and will need daily exercise to expend some of his energy. Once he works out his zoomies, he is perfectly content snuggling with his people. He gives lots of hugs and wet kisses. He responds well to his name, as well as "Ro." He knows sit and stay, waits for his food, and politely takes treats using the "take nice" command. He is housebroken and will go to the door or bark when he needs to potty. He does like to take his time outside to find the perfect spot and he does not like to go outside alone at night.

Roja has not been cat-tested, but shows great interest in squirrels and rabbits, so he may not do well with cats. Ro is a sweet boy who was given a second chance, now he just needs to find the perfect family! Is it you?
