Ryan Miller needs a caretaker or foster!
Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Please meet Ryan. He is a stray that was trapped out in Royalton…. This guy was brought to safety with a special trap as he was fearful OF EVERYTHING. He was found on Miller road, hence the name Ryan Miller, which to our understanding is often a dumping ground for dogs that people decide they no longer want.
We (DITR) do have a contract with Royalton and take in unclaimed dogs that he finds.
He is currently living at the DCO’s in a shed. No place or life for a dog. But he is safe, so there is that small bonus.
Scott does believe he is housebroken as he has not had any issues in his shed.
He does love tennis balls and he is always up for a good car ride!!! He is very much a puller on leash so he will need some work with that. But he does know some basic commands like sit and takes treats like a champ.
He has a high prey drive for squirrels and such so at this point probably wouldn’t do well with cats. We don’t know how he will be with dogs.
He is short and stout but thick and solid. He weighs roughly 50#.
Now, this sweet guy does come with some quirks. He seems to warm up quickly to most woman but light haired ones he seems slightly fearful of. Men, slow to warm up to some (especially bald men) but seems to take very quickly to dark haired men. At this point, until we get to know him a bit better, young kids probably would not be a good idea.
We don’t know his past but we damn well know he deserves a better future.
He would greatly benefit from decompression. Not only will it give him time to rest and chill, but it will help to establish the trust between him and his foster family.
Please help us find a safe spot for this boy….
