He is a 1.5 year old Russian imported Maine Coon.
He is the sweetest biggest mushy love.
But of course being a rescue he does have special needs.
Leo was diagnosed with megacolon due to a rectal stricture in his colon.
Treatment with physical stretching and meds has seem to be effective.
He is on Royal Canin high calorie Gastrointestinal canned (with the dry as a treat). About $100 a month (2 cases).
He is on Prednisolone (cheap) daily to keep the tissue soft.
He is on cisapride 2-3 times daily (about $60/month) but slowly weaning down as he adjusts to the food.
This is a life long condition but can be maintained. He is healthy. He loves our Dane and our other cats. Good with kids of all ages.
Neutered, combo tested, microchipped, tested negative for breed genetic heart disease markers. He has his claws but easily trimmed and can bathe as needed - he'll complain verbally but otherwise is good.
