Rocky was found on the streets and surrendered to a local shelter, where his big goofy personality and constantly wagging tail quickly made him a volunteer & staff favorite!  He enjoys going for long walks and he walks great on a leash; sniffing and exploring, but checking in with his handler frequently.

Rocky will whine for your attention & lean into you for pets, but then will go off to chew on his kong and chill.  He's housetrained and does great in his crate; just toss his Kong inside and he'll go right in without a peep!  He's working hard on learning basic commands, but hasn't mastered them yet; so he'd benefit from a foster or owner who's able to help him continue to learn.

Rocky gets along great with dogs his size; cats are unknown at this time.  He's shown some food guarding with other dogs, so he would need to be seperated from other dogs when being fed, given treats and high value chews.  Because of his size and wiggly nature, we're recommending kids 8 years and up at this time.  Rocky lives all people & thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with the preteens in his foster-sitter's home!
