Some of you may remember this handsome boy from his story on the The Dodo or had seen him all across your Facebook feed, as everyone was hoping to find this boy his forever home. He was at the shelter for over a year and is a Diamond now and we will take over to find his forever family!!
Wally arrived at Town of Islip Animal Shelter as a stray at around 10 years old. They felt pretty confident he had lived outside all his life. They could also tell, as can we, he wants nothing more than to be loved! He follows his current foster mom around where ever she goes and does not want to be left alone.
Wally had a severe skin condition when he arrived at the shelter but that has healed up. He has an old injury to one eye but he can see out of it, he can not hear well or at all and has a mass on his shoulder that tested to be ok! When he arrived in Buffalo he had a dental procedure and 6 of his teeth removed. This old man has had a rough life and we are determined to give him the best rest of his life possible.
We are looking for a foster or forever home for our sweet boy! A home that will work with us to get him feeling healthy as possible, and let him live out the rest of his days being loved. Wally needs to be the only pet in the home, a home with no stairs and due to not being able to hear well, a home with older children would be best. This sweet love deserves to be spoiled and have all the attention on him!
