Introducing Ronan

Ronan will celebrate his 1st year birthday on January 24, 2021.   As one can probably guess from his pictures, Ronan is a male German Shepherd Dog (a/k/a GSD).

Ronan has had much change in his life in a short time.  He lived with his original family since 8 weeks of age (which included a small breed dog and a cat), until he was 9 months old and their circumstances changed.  Ronan is currently fostering with a family who had hoped to make him part of their family.   However, they have recently learned that they will be returning to military life and that Ronan and their current dog do not seem to want to be friends.  Although, Ronan has had many changes in his developing life, he has never been without love and good care.

Ronan’s current foster mom is working with him on training and building confidence.  She believes he would excel in a home with 1) breed experience; 2) continued structure and willingness to work with a professional trainer; 3) daily activity, both for his body and mind and 4) for now (with the hopes that he gains well-balanced confidence) no other dogs - he will probably succeed with in a home with dog savvy cat(s), as he very much wants to play but is a big (adolescent) boy.  Currently, young children are an unknown (as he has not been exposed).

Ronan is crate trained, current with vaccinations and monthly preventatives (had a wellness exam in November ) and has an appointment to be neutered this month (January 2021).

Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment.
