Virgil is a silly boy, full of energy, with happy butt wiggles and he likes to dance when excited. He sits for treats, comes when called and goes in his crate on command. He is very smart, very affectionate and eager to please!

Virgil is great with the dogs, large or small. We truly think he thinks he is a 10 lbs dog because if he could be a lap dog, he would be a lap dog.

He has no issues with humans at all. Man or woman, if you talk to him, he is your best friend. When he arrived he would growl over his food and water when the other dogs would approach.   We have fed him separately and this seems to work well. He also figured out there was plenty of water to go around. His past life of neglect is still vivid in his mind.

Virgil has never been around kids but his exuberance and size would be too much for small kids. He really needs someone who has the time to work with him and train him. Life off of the chain he was living on is so exciting for him right now he just can’t contain himself. A tall fenced yard would be perfect!!

Virgil rides well in the car, until you pull up at a fast food place and he smells the food. Then he thinks he is a lap dog and tries to drive. Lol. That was fun.   He loves chicken nuggets! Virgil is currently being treated for his skin condition and we will assist his foster or adoption family to continue to getting him looking and feeling his best!
