Meet silly Stevie!  Stevie is male pitty mix who weighs in at around 50 lbs and is fully convinced that he is a lap dog. He is estimated to be about 4 years old.

Stevie is a super loveable guy with a funny personality!  He enjoys walks and some playtime each day, but he won’t be winning any awards in the athleticism department, so a low- to moderately active lifestyle will suit him just fine.  He’s happy to spend his time cuddled up on the couch or under the desk, just as long as his human is nearby for frequent head scratches and belly rubs!  His all-time favorite thing is sleeping in bed – burrowed under the covers – with his human. Be prepared to share some pillow space, too, as he won’t hesitate to help himself!

Stevie is fully house trained and does not require being crated when left alone.  He likes to chew when he’s feeling a little bored or nervous, but as long as his chew toys are available, he will only reach for those.  He walks very well on a leash and knows simple commands.  His foster mom works with him daily on obedience and he’s proven to be smart and very receptive to training.

Stevie loves humans, and is friendly toward new people.  When it comes to dogs, he is very selective. He tends to be nervous and reactive whenever he sees another dog, probably due to negative interactions in his past.  Training classes and consistency with his foster mom and dad have helped with his confidence.  In fact, he has become great friends with a female dog who lives next door, and the two of them enjoy frequent playtimes! No cats for this guy.

Stevie is looking for a forever home that is on the quieter side, with humans who will shower him with the love and gentleness he deserves. He will thrive in a home with consistency and routine.  In return, you’ll have a silly, sweet best friend who will make you smile every single day!
