Jake is an adorable and unique houndy boy. He has the height and face of a Beagle, but the length of a Dachshund. He has been known to be called - "Slim", "Stretch" and "Slinky Dog" as nicknames around his foster home. Jake came to Diamonds after being abandoned in an apartment, and he was very afraid. He found comfort in his sized just for him crate which he to this day retreats to when he feels unsure or just wants to relax. He has bonded with the adult female caregiver in the house and is slightly more timid with the adult male and children. Every day he makes progress though with his comfort levels. This boy LOVES his canine foster sisters. He loves to follow them around, snuggle and play outside. He doesn't even mind the incoming wintery weather either. He is mostly house trained and let's you know if he has to go out by going to the door. He is a pup so picking up items that you don't want chewed up is a must although he's only gotten to a couple things. Jake is a sweet boy who is learning to trust and love completely again. He is looking for his forever family to stand by him and will give unconditional love in return.
