Hello! My name is Violet and I'm a beautiful 5 year old black lab with the most amazing brown eyes anyone has ever seen! (So my foster mother says!) I'm a playful girl who loves to play tug of war or fetch with my toys and go on long walks. I walk well on a leash although I can get a little excited so you have to keep me in line! I also love to swim! You give me a body of water and you better believe I'll take a dip! The only thing my foster mom worries about is my tendancy to run if not on a leash. Up until recently I had lived my entire life tied up outside, so when given the chance, I'll sneak past you and go for a joy ride. I'm just a little scared to be tied up again so a fenced yard would probably be best for me. I get along very well with other doggies, including my foster siblings who are mini daschunds. They are a little older than me (and a tad bit smaller) so they get a little fed up with my playfulness! But we get along well and it would be great if my forever home included a dog who liked to play and rough house with me! I haven't met any kitties yet, so I'm not sure how I feel about them. Even though I like to hang with the weenie dogs and my foster mom and dad, I'm content to nap in my kennel most of the time. It's my safe place. I'm also housebroken and will let you know when it's time for me to head outside. I'm also fond of little humans! My foster cousins are 6,7 and 10 and keep me entertained for hours with fetch. I love that they pay lots of attention to me and give me lots of treats! (Just for sitting! Can you imagine?!) So if you want a dog who will play and run with you, or snuggle on the couch, I'm the girl for you! I still have some learning to do but bringing me into your life will be worth it! I promise!
