Daphne is about a year old, and had a rough start to her life. Daphne is from a hoarding situation in the Southern Tier. Daphne, and 30 other dogs, as well as 2 cats lived in a tiny 1 bedroom upper apartment. One day her owner decided to just up and leave. Leaving all the animals in the apartment by themselves. These poor souls were in this apartment for nearly 2 weeks before any help came. When help did finally arrive, the front door needed to be sawed down in order to get in. Over a foot of hardened feces had essentially sealed the door closed. Because of the life that Daphne has already endured, she would do best in a quiet home. A home with children would not be good for this little girl. She may still technically be a puppy, but she has experienced a life that terrified her. She gets nervous with fast movements, or loud noises, but is improving everyday. A quiet home, with someone who is willing to allow her continued progress would be perfect. Daphne doesn't bark, and loves to go for walks. She just needs a quiet sanctuary, where she can continue to improve at her own pace.
