Jax, is a 5 year old Beagle. He is a little chubby, but is currently on a "diet", aka, reduced amount of food (no special food, just less of it). As you might know, Beagles are very stubborn little dogs. Jax has quite a few commands under his belt, but isn't always eager to obey them. Hahaha. He knows sit, stay, come, and go lay down (at which time he goes to his "spot/bed"). Jax is also incredibly well behaved off leash, and DOES come back when called. Jax is great with kids, cats, and most other dogs. When Jax was younger, he was attacked by a couple of dogs at a doggy day care. Nothing serious, no cuts, blood, vet visits etc, but it made him more aware of other dogs. So it may take him a little bit to warm up to other dogs. Jax currently lives with another dog, and a cat, and gets along famously with both of them. Unlike most Beagle's, Jax rarely barks or bays. He also is great off leash and doesn't run off, tracking a smaller animal. Jax has great recall. Jax would do well in most households, and just wants to find his forever home.
