Hi everyone, I'm Zed. I am told that I am a Yellow Lab/Australian Mix. All I know is that I am a dog. My exact age is unknown, but the vet's are guessing that I am between 7-9 years old. Ideally I would like to go home with someone who has a quiet home. Maybe even another senior, like myself. We would have a lot to talk about, as we would both be wise in our years. I get along with kids; I love the little girl in my foster home, as well as her brother, but especially the little girl. She takes such great care of me. When I came into her home, I had a boo boo on my leg, from laying on the cement at the shelter. Anyway, this little girl was the perfect nurse. She cleaned my sore, bandaged me all up, and gave me a treat after. If only all doctors/nurses worked the way she did? I also get along with cats and other dogs. I pretty much ignore the cats. We don't really have a whole lot in common, so no need to bother them. The resident dogs in my foster home like to nap, as do I. We have the same activity level, which is good. I don't think I would manage so well in a home with very young dogs. I admit, I'm an old man, and just want a nice quiet retirement home. I must also disclose that I do NOT like to be crated. How would you like it if I put you in a crate during the day? Exactly, you wouldn't. :) But not to worry, I will not potty in your house, and I will not chew anything. I promise, I am a very well mannered gentleman. Some of my favorite things are to nap, nap some more, take short walks, and nap again. What can I say, I am a pretty low maintenance guy. I'm not lazy. I will do pretty much whatever you want me to do, but I do thoroughly enjoy getting my cat naps in. I promise to give you lots of love, and all I ask in return is that you give me a warm place to sleep, keep my bowls full of food and water, and give me a little love back. I don't think that's too crazy and demanding do you?
