Please welcome DITR's newest furbaby, Shemp. Shemp is approximately 4 years old and is a Dutch Shepard Mix. Shemp's daddy passed away in September, and his life has drastically changed. Shemp is approximately 55 pounds and very energetic. He likes to go for walks and loves to run around the yard in the snow. He attends Daycare at Purrfect Paws Animal Behavior Center and also takes a nosework class that is in its third level. Shemp needs someone who can give him room to exercise and spend time with him as he is very people oriented and loyal to his owner(s). He knows some obedience commands such has sit, stay, stop, and off. He is also house broken and crate trained. He has not had exposure to young children to be able to determine if that type of home would be suitable and he gets along with some dogs but not all dogs. He likes to play chase and ball but is very strong and needs help settling due to his energy level, but we are working on that. Shemp is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations.
