Meet Willow, she is as beautiful and graceful as her name. Willow is a 2 year old blue tick hound who has come to NY from a rural area of Tennessee, where through no fault of her own, was surrendered to a high kill shelter. In most rural southern areas, dogs are not considered pets, they have a job to do, either hunting or breeding and if they dont fit the mold to do those things, well their fate is one of several bad options. In this case, disposed like garbage at a high kill shelter. Well our plans for Miss Willow were completely different. She is a kind and gentle dog, and is definitely a good snuggler. She enjoys spending time with a family and has settled nicely into family life with her foster. She gets along well with the other dogs in her home, and pays absolutely no mind to cats, and is wonderful with children. Willow is leash trained, and walks with a leash but she does not wander far from you without one. She has been craving family for so long, she has no intention of wandering far from the good life! Her house manners have come along nicely, and with frequent trips outside to do her business she has been accident free indoors. She is a very smart girl! Willow is a mid size dog weighing 35 lbs with beautiful markings, heart worm negative, spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. She is looking for her forever home and family. She prefers to be the only female dog in the home, she is indeed the princess and doesn't mind a court of males surrounding her :) if you would like to meet Willow please contact us to fill out an application and set up a meet and greet. She is waiting for someone to call he own! www.diamondsintheruffanimalrescue.com
