Tessa is a 4 1/2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is full of energy!

At any given time , she can be found lounging on the couch or in her foster siblings' dog bed.

Tessa's foster family includes 3 other dogs as well as a cat. Tessa enjoys racing her foster siblings out the door when it's time to go potty. She will tell her foster dad when she has to go by waiting at the back door and making a soft grunting noise.

Tessa gets very excited when she sees squirrels and rabbits outside. Therefore, a fenced in yard would be best for her.

Tessa also enjoys sun bathing for a few minutes when she is outside. She loves going for walks and walks very nicely!

Tessa does have anxiety with new people/ situations, but warms up quickly when she is given time (and treats!) to get comfortable. During thunderstorms, she likes to join her foster dad on the couch so much that she lays on top of him.

Tessa has done well in training classes and is very proud to show people her hand targeting! Hand targeting is when her foster daddy holds out his hand in various location and Tessa simply touches it with her nose!!!

She would love to attend classes with her furever family! Due to Tessa's anxiety, she would do best in a home with older children.

The adoption fee for Tessa is $250.00.  She will come to you fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped.

Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment.
