Poor Waylon spent most of his two years in a shelter.  He was picked up as a stray around 10 months old and spent the next 14 months waiting for his forever family.  They never came.  A shelter volunteer contacted us to advise about the horrible position their shelter had been put in.  Their shelter was going to be rebuilt by the town, but all the animals that were there would have to be euthanized.  That is when DITR decided, this boy needed out.  

Waylon is a beautiful Lab/Boxer mix, with one brown, and one blue eye.  He is very soft, and a medium sized dog at about 60lbs.  He would make an excellent couch snuggler (if you allow).

Waylon is a fun, energetic guy.  He absolutely loves to play, specifically fetch.  Ever see a dog do "zoomies"?  That's out boy.  He loves to run.  A fenced in yard would be a huge plus for this boy!

Waylon can be dog selective, he seems to like dogs that are smaller than him.  His ideal home would have no other pets, but if you have a smaller dog, a few meet and greets could be setup to see if it will work.    

Waylon loves affection and will sit all day while you pet him.  He also loves to explore, and is curious about his surroundings.  He loves to run around and take in all the new smells, and sights. He would benefit greatly from daily walks or runs.
