The Chesapeake Bay Retriever looks similar to a Chocolate Lab; however, they have a different personality and temperament. Cooper has been in foster a few weeks, working on social skills, manners, and basic obedience. He also shows telltale signs of having been abused in his short life. His foster mom and dad having been really great work with him and have seen such incredible progress with him every day. He is potty trained and crate trained, knows sit, and and has learned to walk well on a leash. Cooper seems to be fine with dogs, but we do not about cats at this time. The breed is not well suited to apartment life. They need exercise every day, so an active owner is a must. If you think Cooper might be the right dog for you, please complete an application.
