Hi! My name is Abel and I just became a resident of New York! I was born in South Carolina where, unfortunately things were not so great for me. I'm not so sure about years and such, but the nice people at the shelter where I lived think I am about 2. All I know is that sometime when I was younger, I got hurt and my leg healed wrong because I didn't see a doctor. So I limp a little bit, but that doesn't stop me from living life!! I love to play with other dogs, but I also know when it's time to relax. My foster family gave me a really comfy bed to sleep on, but I also like to get up on the couch and cuddle up close!  I'm still learning about all the things that dogs with families get to do...like play with toys and go for car rides and walks, but so far it's great!! I'm a little nervous about the slippery floors though, so my foster family put some rugs down for me to feel better when I walk around in the house. I know that potty is only done outside and when my foster family is away, I go in my crate. And I'm ok with that because I know they'll come back for me!  But I would really like to meet my FOREVER family soon so that I can get settled in for good!!
