Meet Chaz, this boy has just become a DITR Diamond.  He has only been in foster care for 3 days (became a Diamond on 10/9/15) so we are still learning about him, but this is what his foster mom had to say about him.

I’m a first time foster and have only had Chaz since Friday night.  Chaz is a 7 month old Lab, possibly Shepherd mix and is approx 55 lbs.   Since Friday, he’s come a LONG way.  He is very friendly and is great with children and other dogs (we have two other dogs).  I also have a special needs son, who he has taken to.  The only issue is that he is a big boy, and sometimes doesn’t realize how strong he is.  Chaz loves to run, play fetch, go for walks and will happily drop toys in your lap.  He’s very affectionate.  He’s vocal and likes to talk when he wants you to play with him or when someone comes to the door.  He will jump up on people but quickly gets down when you tell him.  He will also jump on the bed or furniture, as his old home allowed this, but will also get down once told.  He walks well on a leash.  He is housebroken and crate trained.  He sleeps well at night.  We actually left him for 2 hours today with the run of the house and he was great.  He’s loyal and a quick learner and has settled in nicely with us.  I have no doubt he’s going to make a wonderful family dog.
