Hi! My name is Odin! I got lost and ended up in a pound, and sadly my owner never found me. They said my time was up, and I was getting really scared, but then some really nice rescue people saved me before it was too late!! Phew!!! They took me to a vet right away, because they said I'm in rough shape. I am super skinny under my shaggy soft fur. I have been hungry a long time, and I have an itchy dry skin condition, but the good news is they said I do NOT have heartworm, which sounds like a bad thing to me so I'm glad! I was such a good boy at the vets even though I got shots and they took some of my blood, but I didn't mind that at all. They all loved me at the vet office and gave me lots of hugs and kisses! The vet says I'm young, only about 2, to 2 & 1/2 years old. I got some medicine and special shampoo to help me get well, and they're feeding me lots of yummy food at my foster home so hopefully really soon I will be all better and ready for a family to adopt me! My foster mom says I look like a black and white Golden Retriever, which doesn't make sense to me? Because you can't be black and white, and Golden at the same time, right?! Haha! I heard them say that I look like a shaggy fluffy black Lab, but that I must have either Husky or Australian Shepherd in there because I have 1 blue eye and 1 brown one. Well I don't know what those breed names mean, but my foster mom loves me and tells me I am a very handsome boy. Oh I can't forget to tell you, I just LOVE my foster family's dogs, too! Man I have sooo much fun with them! We like to run and play in their big fenced back yard, it's so great! They have a couple funny looking dogs though that they call "cats", whatever that means. I like them, and try to get them to play with me, but they smell different and don't want to play back. I don't mind them though, and don't really bother them other then I like sniffing them. I love kids too, in case you were wondering. Really, I could go to a family that has kids, dogs, or cats, or that has none of those. But, I'm not going to lie, I'm kinda hoping I get a dog brother or sister that likes to play with me, because I sure do love other dogs, and the only thing I like as much as that is crawling up into the big recliner with my foster mom or her kids and cuddling with them. I had just a few potty accidents when I very first got here. I was in the pound a while and so I needed reminding of what being a house doggy was all about, but I am all better now! Plus, I am a good boy in my crate and sleep quietly in there all night! I also like to go for walks and don't pull badly on the leash either! If you think that I might be the right boy for you, please apply to adopt me! Then, when I am all better, I will have a family waiting to take me home with them!

ODin is currently in foster and is being treated for non-contagious mange.  Once his treatment is complete he will be available for adoption.  Applications can be submitted and will be carefully screened.

The adoption fee for Odin is $250.00.  He will come to you fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.

Here is where you fill out an adoption form:   http://diamondsintheruffanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/  Maybe by Christmas I will have my very own new family, which is all I am asking Santa for!
