Sweet little Alice came to us from a high kill shelter, where she was an unclaimed stray. She had to have been someone's pet, because she is so incredibly friendly with everything, adults, kids, dogs, and yes even cats! Plus, she seems to have some training too because she walks well on a leash and is house trained, and crate trained. She is fairly petite and has a slim build, and we can tell she's mostly Beagle but we just aren't sure what other breed might be in there, because she's not much over 20 pounds. Also, she is quite young, a year old at the very most.
Alice is in foster with one of our local volunteers that has both male and female dogs and cats in their home. She pretty much ignores the cats, and is happy to share your lap with one. As for the dogs, she LOVES them and would be happiest to have a friendly and playful doggy sibling. Because she was already a stray once so we know she would run, and her Beagle nose really gets the best of her if she smells a bunny or birds, a fenced yard is a requirement for her adoption. Hound breeds can't help that, we humans bred them to have a strong sense of smell and good hunting and tracking instincts.
If you think sweet little Alice is the right dog for you, please apply to adopt her today! You won't regret it, she's a real doll!
