Jacques is a 2 year old male French Bulldog that was saved from his life in an Amish puppy mill where he was used as a breeder. Jacques is very friendly, playful, and social. He loves to sit on your lap or beside you in a big chair or on a couch. Jacques simply LOVES to play with other dogs, and really thrives best with them, so a playful dog sister or brother is a must. He would do best in a home with another dog that he can have fun with, romp and play with and get his silly energy out with. Jacques also thoroughly enjoys running around in his foster's big fenced backyard, a fully fenced and secure yard is required for Jacques. Jacques was adopted first by a family with a toddler that handled him very harshly, so a home with no babies or toddlers is best. He is not at all aggressive but after what happened to him we are making sure he won't be stressed in the future so elementary aged kids and up only. Jacques does not care about cats, and would be just fine in a home with them. Jacques is crate trained and house trained, but you should expect a few accidents in the beginning as he adjusts to his new surroundings. His life before rescue was living in a cage 24/7, so he still an occasional accident and his foster has been working hard with him on that. Jacques does have some food allergies, but is fine if he stays on a fish based food. His crate, dishes, toys, food storage container, and remaining food will go with him to his new home. You must be willing to keep him on his fish based diet.
